I didn't think I had seen it before, but then as we started watching it, I remembered! But as the movie continued, there were really important scenes that I had never seen before! Five minutes after finishing a book, I've forgotten most of the details, no matter how riveting they were. Emily's right, though. In a way, it is a blessing. Believe me. I've been re-reading the HP series for the third or fourth time and a lot of the plot twists are like revelations.
